Thoughts

We lost one of our best friends and soccer/football icons, Adrian Webster. We have known him for 47 years, first as the Seattle Sounders FC team captain but then through photos I shot when I was 17 and publishing his books we re-found a best friend. I always said that because of Adrian, I met my husband 44 years ago on an away game supporter bus to cheer on Adrian and the Sounders. Bill and I were able to meet up with him and his wife Jo multiple times for matches in the UK to end up in random supporter's pubs, to being toured around their beautiful town of Colchester. And then when he came to Seattle to receive a well-deserved Golden Scarf from the the Sounders. Adrian and Jo became even closer through Covid and a lifeline of chats and laughs on video calls. Always a kind and gentle soul (except on the pitch). Now you can give Pele another good run up there. You will always be in our loving thoughts and sending strength to Jo and your wonderful family. #16 FOREVER RIP

My family met Adrian when he came to the states and played for the Seattle Sounders. He became part of our family, I babysat Jason and Michelle during the games and many other times. Adrian stayed with our family for a couple years and during that time we became even closer and he became my older brother, we shared many great memories and laughs and he gave me the nickname Rusty (the name is a private joke we had between us). I am so happy that I was able to see him and spend time with him again when he received his yellow scarf from the Sounders. I will cherish all of our memories and I am so blessed you came into my life. I will always keep you in my heart and love you always Ade! Love your little sis Heather “Rusty” Muller
